This year Angie and I have had a spectacular year and hate to see it end. Possibilities for the New Year are before us and push us forward. Destination Wedding Snowshoe, WV

This wedding was a very long trek for Angie and myself lets just say 8 hours on small backwoods roads in West Virginia was an awesome adventure for us both. Our car ride was hours of listening to the soundtrack to our childhood we rocked it out to New Kids on the Block, and got our Justin Beiber fix. On our adventure we saw so many perfect photo locations that were amazing! We stopped and captured a few of them and wished we had subjects to place in the wonderful scenic views. When we made it on top of the Mountain to our destination it was clear why the couple wanted to get married there it was breathtaking.

This wedding was very special to me as a photographer because I actually introduced them to each other and got to watch two people from the moment they meet till they got married. It was truly a blessing to be a part of it. Congrats to Anna and Norm blessings for years to come.

Baseballs and Suprise Ceremonies Kasey and James {e-session}

What a day full of surprises this was! We had initially planned to meet and go in to Commonwealth Stadium and it was open until about 5 minutes before we were going to start our session. :( So sadly no football stadium photos. Instead we started off at the Aboritum where Kasey and James had brought along their sweet lab to take a few shots. Bailey got to discover the park during the session although James was in horror most of the time so she didn't stay out for long. When then continued our journey downtown and wondered some of the backstreets where we found an antique shop that had a GIANT baseball. Since James is a former UK baseball player this was an Awesome find. As we were going up to the shop the owner stepped out and we asked him if we could take some shots with his baseball he was super nice and of course said sure. The owner also asked us what we were out there taking photos for? James told him they where getting married and the owner was so please he introduced himself as a minister and proceeded to marry them over the baseball. (No Joke!!) He of course left out a few choice phrases but it was a ceremony! James of course was thinking if it only could have been that easy?! But the surprise ceremony was fun. We were the first to witness the couple getting married now they are ready for next month! Here are some of the shots from the day enjoy!

Here it is April 1st and we are now just doing our first blog of the year.... SO SAD!!!!!

I am going to be better and keep it up I promise! Besides I am really going to have too!!! We have sooooo many weddings coming up its going to be crazy in here! Stay tuned for more to come...

We have already had the privilege of doing one wedding already this year our first couple is Ashley and Lucas they are middle school sweethearts and have been together 8 years. They married on March 13, 2010. Congrats to the happy couple we wish you many more years to come!

Doug and Rachel meet at the Dame. It was a very special place for them and since the original bar was demolished ealier this year to make room for the new Center Pointe building they wanted to still go to where they first fell in love. We like to call it the "Dame hole". Enjoy some shots from the TTD session.

We have been busy girls lately. Had our first Sunday wedding of the year last week and it was a beautiful day and an Amazing location. The wedding and reception was held at High Bridge in Wilmore, KY. The Edrington/Hudson wedding party were a hoot and we wish Mr. and Mrs. Hudson all the luck in the world. Busy Fourth of July!

Hi Everybody!

We had a busy week. First we got to take Brooke and Steve's new bundle of joy portraits. This was coming full circle for us since their wedding was the first one Misty and I did together. We also did their maternity pics back in March. So here is a few of baby Leighton! She is so beautiful!

We also did Maddy and Coty's Senior portraits. They were a lot of fun. They were willing to do just about anything! Since they were dating we got some of them together too.

We also took Maggie's 8 month portraits out at Waveland. She was just learning to stand and we had great fun with that. Her siblings Katie and Austin also jumped in some for some wonderful shots.

The time is now for senior portraits so if you know a senior for 2010 that needs their pictures taken give us a shout. Misty would be in Heaven because this is her favorite age group!!

Last week we were very busy bees once again. We had the opportunity to take Maternity shots, A Teen photo shoot and a Wedding all in a couple days. So Fun stuff!!!

Our Maternity shoot was with a couple that we have had the pleasure working with before, Last fall we did some family shots as well as a boudoir shoot with Dale and Kelli G. That boudoir shoot must have really worked because now little Gage will be here shortly. I hope you enjoy some of our favorite shots of the night.

Dales daughter Katelyn was also wanting to have some photos taken so she got to pose for us a round or too.

The Gordon/Pokriva wedding oh what fun we had. Rachel and Doug where just amazing and so laid back. We wish them nothing but the utmost happiness and forever may they be each others Lobsters!!

This past weekend we had the privilege to take photos at a wedding in Sevierville, Tennessee at the Hidden Mountain Resort. Tiffany and Jason are a lovely couple who asked us after we did engagement shots if we would travel to take photos at their wedding. And of course we couldn't say no. We had a blast during are trip and the wedding was amazing. The Resort was really stunning and lest just say Tiffany and Jason were a whole lot of fun! Enjoy some samples from the day.

Senior Session Taylor

Had a great weekend and worked with an excellent young lady Taylor from GRC in Winchester. This was our second session together we had previously took a couple shots during a family session but there where not quite enough to make her custom graduation invites so we took some more shots on Saturday morning. They turned out great. Taylor was very excited that day because after she was leaving the photo shoot she was going to get ready for prom. Hope you had a magical night Taylor!!

We have started out the month of May being busy as bees... This past weekend we had the pleasure of taking senior photos for Miss Mallory. She will be graduating this spring from Henry Clay. She decided that she wanted to get her senior portraits done beofore it was too late. We spent a couple hours out at Waveland. The day was a stormy one but ended up being perfect for us and they turned out wonderful. We hope that Mallory enjoys her photos as much as we had fun taking them. This weekend was also the Prom at West Jessamine High in Nicholasville. We had the honnor of taking Prom photos at Camp Nelson with the lovely Miss Maddy and her boyfriend Cody.

Busy Weekend

We were busy bees this weekend. We had an engagement session and a maternity family session. They turned out great! We also have booked several weddings coming up. At the end of May we are traveling to Gatlinburg to do a wedding. We are super excited! We also are going to be doing a downtown Lexington wedding in June! Those should be awesome. The couple was great and seemed to be a lot of fun. We are also excited about a newborn session with Kaitlyn's baby Tatym. It will be great since we did her Maternity session at the end of March.

Bridal Show in Review

Hello everyone! We had a great day on Sunday the 18th at the Kentucky Bride Bridal Show. :) Although it was a cold day there were Brides out in droves. Angie and I alone spoke to over 130 brides, so overall it was a sucessful day. I do hope that we will be hearing from lots of Brides in the near future. Here is a look at our booth from the day. Just 6 days away from attending the Kentucky Bride Bridal Show at Rupp Arena. This is our second time having a booth. We are very excited to meet our peers as well as all of the Brides that will attend. The last show was in July, there were a lot of "grazers" as I call them trying to just soak up as much information as they can about wedding planning. Currently we are editing through some of this past weekends work. A busy weekend it was, on Saturday we were at the Mansion for a Suprise Birthday Party. The cake was beautiful as well as the grounds for the Mansion as always. On Sunday we traveled to Cincinnati to Devou Park with an outstanding view of the city for Senior photos.
